These new balls are made of new plastic material. The ball is slightly but visibly larger than the old 40mm cellular balls. It is also slightly slower and about 0.05 gram heavier than the old balls.
This is the way the game is heading to either you like it or not. So get yours fast so that you will get used to it sooner.
